The Stress-Free Dentist Burbank Deserves

Just saying the phrase “going to the dentist” can give some folks a bit of anxiety. Going to the dentist shouldn’t be a nerve-wracking experience or something to be dreaded. Truthfully, going to the dentist is a good thing. It means that you’re going to improve your dental health, learn in clear terms how your dental health is progressing, and you might even pick up on some tips for how to improve your dental health in the future. We see it as part of our mission to provide the stress-free dentist Burbank deserves. There are many ways that we go about this.

Relaxation throughout the Dental Process

For many of us, the last time we’re young enough for the dentist to give us a toy when we’re done is the last time the dentist does something to make us feel at ease. Too often, dentists for adults do the basic, bare minimum to put their patients at ease. We don’t believe in that. We believe that a trip to the dentist in Burbank is something that a person should look forward to. So, when you come to our practice, we do everything in our power to make sure that you feel welcomed, calm, at ease and practically at-home.

Stress-Free Dentist for the Whole Family

If you poll all of the members of a family as to “where do you want to go least,” it’s possible that one of the top answers for each member, regardless of age, would be “to the dentist.” So, we make sure that our patients of all ages feel utterly comfortable at home here. That means that we go the extra mile to ensure that you feel relaxed and anxiety-free. When you’re here, we treat you the way we would like to be treated at the dentist.

Pain-free Procedures

For many, the scariest part of going to the dentist is the potential for pain. Some of the procedures, in the hands of other dental practices, could hurt quite a bit. That’s just one of the reasons that we focus on having as much of a pain-free practice as possible. For example, most people associate “cavity filling” with “quite a bit of discomfort.” Cavity fillings can be difficult and painful, but not if you come to our Burbank dental practice. Here, we perform cavity fillings with as little discomfort as possible.

The first thing we do is to put on some local anesthetic. You’ll notice that says “local,” not “general,” “generalized” or anything like that. When you come to our dental practice, we make sure that you get just as much anesthetic as you need to feel comfortable and no more. Then, we remove all of the decay with a drill. We do that once the anesthetic is working so that you don’t have to feel it.

Of course, not all of our work has to be done with the drill. In fact, plenty of times we don’t have to use the drill at all. For some of our patients, depending on the specifics of their case, we’re able to use air abrasion. This is just what it sounds like: using air to remove the decay. We use this whenever possible, as it’s one more way to make sure that there’s as little pain as possible when we’re performing a procedure on our patients.

After that, the next step is to pack composite material into the cavity. We do this quickly, completely and painlessly. By “packing,” we mean “gently putting it into the cavity until it is full.” Once that’s done, then all that’s left to do is to shape the filling. This is done to make sure that you’re able to chew and bite as regularly. Of course, being a dentist is, in many procedures, as much art as it is science.

That’s certainly true when it comes to shaping the filling. To make sure that it’s the right shape and also looks as organic as possible requires the hand of an artist as much as a scientist. Here, our professionals call on their years of experience to make sure that your teeth, with the filling in, look exactly how they should.
